Alaskan Brown Bear Super Special

Just received notification from one of our Alaskan Outfitters that he has a Cancellation Brown Bear Hunt, which has just come available and should not last long!!

He has 1 Spring Cancellation Hunt for a  Brown Bear/Wolf combo available this April. There will be a couple of days of travel on both ends of the hunting dates of April 20-29, 10 full days of hunting.

This Outfitter hunts Unit 17B and Unit 19B in the Spring and in Unit 17 there is a 2 Brown Bear limit.

This area gets large salmon runs in the Summer/Fall and these Bears grow large because of that. Bear density is high, hence a

2 Brown Bear limit.

All his hunting is done in April, so you can target the old large male Bears that come out of there dens first and he is located in the middle of some of the best denning areas. The last 2 years has had low snow conditions, but as of this morning there is 8" of new snow on top of a nearly 5 ft. base and this is some of the best conditions there has been in the last couple of years. This Outfitter takes a limited number (3) of hunters to assure his hunters 100% success.

The Base Camp is located in one of the major denning areas and you will be using their 10 snowmobiles to travel within the area. Base Camp consists of warm Cabins with Wood Stoves, a Main Log Cabin with a propane range, regular phone and Internet. Lots of great food - Steaks, Pork Loins, Chicken, etc.

On these Spring Brown Bear Hunts, the average size is 9ft, there have been a few 10ft bears taken and success is 90- 100%, On an average their largest Brown Bears are taken during this time.

The cost of the hunt will be $12,500.00 plus tag and you can hunt 1 Bear with no harvest fees. A second Bear may be taken for a $2500.00 harvest fee plus Bear Tag when taken.

The original price of this hunt was$19,500.00 for 1 Brown Bear with a $5,000.00 harvest fee plus bear tag for the second Bear

There will be no fee to harvest all the wolves you can find. You will be traveling with snowmobiles daily to cover the hunting area and their company aircraft will be scouting from the air any day that it is flying weather.
